More dolphin today and
we found this abandoned Cuban raft.
How would you like to make a 90mile ocean crossing on this??
The red stickers are from the US Coast Guard. Apparently they found the raft on Nov. 19th.
Hopefully the people were all ok
UPDATE: I received an email from the Coast Guard. All the passengers were taken off the raft safely on Nov. 19th

Two Trips Today
and fishing was great both trips!
Afternoon
Plenty of dolphin and a Skip Jack Tuna in the afternoon
And we got a pretty good view of a US Submarine that has been
operating in the Key West waters for the last week or so
Morning
Non-stop action in the morning!
We saw this Leatherback Turtle on the way in. Leather Backs are uncommon.
I probably see 2-4 per year. It’s hard to tell without anything to reference it’s size,
but this one is about 4-5ft long and probably around 400lbs.
They can get much larger

What a difference a day makes!
Trolled the same area offshore, with the same baits and rigs as yesterday
and got a very different result
26lb “cow” dolphin on 30lb tackle
Nice “schoolie” dolphin
Over 20 dolphin and a small Wahoo!
This would be considered a good day in May or June when dolphin are supposed to be here
Great day for November!

but the reef action was good!

It’s rare to catch an African Pompano. We catch 2-3 a year
He Caught 2 in one day!

Much Better Everything Today!
The weather was perfect and the fishing was excellent!
We started off on the Reef catching live bait with the intent of looking for a Sailfish. Then we got the word that there was a Tuna “bite” offshore. I picked up and ran South as my mate Ben changed rigs.
It was worth the run!

Slow Day Today
Not a lot of bites. Conditions are changing
and I expect fishing to get better soon
