I’ve decided to stay. The projected tracks were showing Irma passing over the upper keys a couple days ago. If that happened, they would have been crushed but we would have gotten tropical storm winds here. The projections are now for Irma to pass over the middle keys and that puts it closer to KW.
We’re going to get stronger winds.
How strong? That’s a good question.
I’m not sure there will be anything left to salvage if it keeps coming west. It may run into the mountains of Cuba if it keeps going west and that should help. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess. I’ll be OK, I’ve got a room at the La Concha hotel.
By Sunday, I’ll know more. Maybe more than I want to know. Wish me luck.
